Number 102 was an item on The List.
Harmed and possibly killed innocent people with second hand smoke[]
Randy and Catalina gave Earl a tape that would help him quit smoking in the hopes of resolving #102. Earl tried the tape but found quitting smoking to be stressful, which led him to smoke more. Earl was distracted from this item when he tried to make up #112 (Let Donny Jones serve jail time for a crime I committed), but soon found that Donny Jones' mother was also a smoker. She was angered at Earl for taking her son away for two years when he was in prison, so Earl decided to make it up to her by helping her to quit smoking through quitting himself.
Through trying several techniques including many niccotine patches, listening to Randy and Catalina's tape and trying to smoke carrot sticks instead of cigarettes, the two managed to kick the habit. Donny's mom was satisfied to have more time with her son, and Earl was pleased to have quit smoking, and crossed the item off his list.
