When Earl and Randy were wowed by a trick in a magic show that involved catching a bullet in your hand, Earl decided to try to see if he could do this with Randy when they were both drunk and shot Randy's hand and the tail light of Reverend Greene's truck. Earl had done Reverend Greene a favor as he was later pulled over by the police when he meet to be visiting his gang when they were all killed in a gang war. When Reverend Greene found out it was Earl who shot his tail light he told him that he saved him from being killed and forgave him.
