My Name is Earl - Season 1 | 4 | September 19, 2006 | Season 1
The most original comedy since Arrested Development, My Name is Earl marked the launch of a lovable new loser. Earl Hickey (Jason Lee) sleeps all day and drinks all night. The pattern ends when he buys a "scratcher"--and wins $100,000. Seconds later, he's hit by a car and loses the ticket. While in the hospital, wife Joy (Emmy nominee Jaime Pressly) leaves him for Darnell the Crab Man (Eddie Steeples). Doped up on morphine, he's watching TV when Carson Daly says something about karma. Earl decides that's his problem: bad karma. He resolves to spend the rest of his life making up for all the harm he's ever done. In the pilot, Earl and brother Randy (Ethan Suplee) start by picking up litter around their motel (Joy got the trailer). While they're at it, Earl finds the lost ticket and collects his bounty. The plan is working! Along with comely maid Catalina (Nadine Velazquez), they set off to right more wrongs.
My Name is Earl - Season 2 | 4 | September 25, 2007 | Season 2
After cooking up a winning formula for the first season, NBC's karmic comedy could afford to shake things up. In Earl's equally successful second, there's an episode incorporating clay animation ("Robbed a Stoner Blind" with Christian Slater), an homage to Cops ("Our 'Cops' Is On!" with Kathy Kinney), a two-parter set in Latin America ("South of the Border" with John Leguizamo), and a Tarantino-style whodunit with narration split between Earl, Randy, Joy, and Crab Man ("Buried Treasure").
My Name is Earl - Season 3 | 4 | September 23, 2008 | Season 3
Life behind bar is a real pain in the butt. Just ask Earl, whose commitment to good karma has landed him in the big house. His shackled hands are full – there’s a gang war to stifle and a gala prison prom to plan. Even conjugal visit day is one big head ache! With a pregnant ex-wife and a hilariously inept prison guard for a brother, Earl suffers a karma crisis and finally goes over the top! Come visit inmate 28301-016 and the rest of the Camden County’s losers, users and boozers in the outrageous, uproarious and always inappropriate Season 3 of My Name is Earl.
My Name is Earl - Season 4 | 4 | September 15, 2009 | Season 4
“Karma” should be a four letter word. Just ask Earl, the loveable loser with a hilarious laundry list of dirty deeds that need undoing from stealing a children’s bookmobile to getting his babysitter pregnant – the hard way! And, while Earl’s brother Randy starts a karmic list of his own his ex-wife Joy, and her husband are movin’ on up to the suburbs. Trouble is you can take the girl out of the trailer park but you can’t take the trailer park out of the girl. Hilariously irrelevant and outrageously over-the-top Season 4 of My Name is Earl proves, once again, that karma is a funny thing. |
