Gregory Thomas Garcia is the creator of My Name is Earl. He is also a writer, director and executive producer.
He attended Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland and participated in the Warner Bros. Writing for Television courses, which ultimately opened the door for him as a writer in Hollywood. For his work on My Name is Earl, he has been nominated for two WGA Awards. He has been married to Kim Garcia since 1997, and they have 3 sons, Nathan, Camden & Trace
