Jim is a gay man who moves in with Randy.
Season 4[]
Jim overhears Randy telling Kenny that he's upset about Earl leaving him. Thinking Earl was Randy's gay partner, Jim begins hitting on him and Randy, who doesn't realize what was going on, naively thinks Jim just wants to be his friend.
Jim ends up sneaking out the window of the trailer when Earl returns. Neither Jim nor Randy ever actually figure out the truth about each other.
