Earl went to Mrs. Zaks's house to apologize for taking his Make-A-Wish pony ride and wanted to make it up to her since he thought Buddy was dead, but she revealed Buddy was still alive. Earl was able to make to Buddy by bring a vision of his movie 2 the Max to life with the help of the locals of Camden County. At the premiere party held at the Crab Shack Earl noticed Buddy was no where to be seen and went outside to look for him when he saw Mrs. Zaks arrived. Earl asked her where Buddy was and she replied Buddy wasn't coming as he had passed away because of his illness but she thanked Earl so making all of his dreams come true.
